The Dreary Burbs

Well, our home computer is out of commission for the next couple weeks. That means for those of you who come on here to see pictorial progress of Meg, you're out of luck.

We visited our friends Terry and Laura this weekend in the suburbs of Chicago. It turned out to be a great weekend to relax with their two beautiful children, Allison and Thomas. The weather was downright terrible, with rain, freezing rain, more rain, harrowing winds, and more rain.

This is Meg and my "nursery week". A week that was chosen long ago for us to start and complete baby Samardzija's nursery. We'll be painting her room, hanging up new window treatments more in line with her fashionable tastes, and finally, assembling her crib. For those that know me, assembling her crib will be no easy task. Bob Vila I am not. But with Meg's patience and my lack of handiness, the project should prove to be both frustrating and rewarding...well, I know it will be frustrating anyway.
